im afaid your in for another of my tales when i was in the police for a while i was warrants officer at oxford. the phone rings “wick here we have just arrested one of yours when are you comming to pick him up” the superintendent said to far to drive you will have to fly up and get him. next morning off to heathrow waiting there for the flight to edinburgh it comes over the tannoy suspect package my flight delayed . when we finaiiy took off i said to the stewardess i am catching a flight from edinburgh to wick she said dont worry they will hold it up for you ‘wrong; as i get off the plane at edinburgh i see this small plane taking off. yes the one flight a day to wick. to cut a long story short , i phone my wife ive got to catch a train to wick stay overnight and fly back the next day. it should be noted i am a keen trainspotter. my wife said you did that on purpose . wonderfull trip on the train to wick and all expences paid for with lots of overtime. happy days.
