Looks like the pitch is used for Grid Iron as well as football which might explain its condition, we all know what happens to event the best football pitches when that happens, Wembley & Kas Stad sprint to mind…
Agreed but that pitch was way worse than anything rugby, NFL, or even bog snorkelling could dream up. Weeds, mud, bumps etc. You couldn’t pass water on that, let alone a ball. And given who used to be involved I dread to think what went on, on or off the pitch
